They Have Dreams, Not Problems

15 October 2019

If Martin Luther King, Jr. had said “I have a problem” instead of “I have a dream”, than we wouldn’t have remembered his landmark speech which has inspired numerous people to seek social change.

This vary incentive drives forward the organizations which participated in the 8th edition of “Entrepreneurship for Non-Profit Organizations” – the focus on dreams rather than problems. This focus was reinforced during their last workshop session in the scope of the Program where they met people who think alike – entrepreneurial, willing to change the world and sharing their experience and knowledge with open hearts when it comes socially significant deeds.

Their mentors in an intensive two-hour format were Borislava Vladimirova, Dimitar Kolev Phd., part of the managing team of Accenture Bulgaria, Boyan Benev (entrepreneur), Viktor Kirkov (sports manager and social entrepreneur), Violeta Nedeva (Program Director “Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology” in the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation), Stanimira Georgieva (chocolatier and social entrepreneur). The participants met and discussed practical plans for development of their business ideas through the lens of sales with Georgi Hristulev a specialist in sales, marketing and communication with clients, and through the lens of the social networks with Boyana Stoilova who is a specialist in digital marketing.

This focus on dreams alongside with in depth analysis of the obstacles and the recommendations for overcoming them, the participants in the 8th edition passed on the organization in the new 9th edition of the Program.

11 drawn ideas for 11 business ideas with a cause

From creativity through strategic marketing to financial planning and analysis of the business plans – this describes the first two days of workshops for the participants in “Entrepreneurship for Non-Profit Organizations” 2019/2020. And many new contacts, spontaneous ideas for cooperation and, of course, enlargement of the Program community.

For us, the team of BCNL, is of great satisfaction to see how the organizations change themselves, become better and more open to the existing opportunities for development thus archiving even more meaningful results supporting their missions. And each of those missions is in favor of the whole society.
