In September there you will find a draft of a comprehensive mechanism for public consultation in the process of decision-making at Sofia Municipality, developed by the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-profit Law. The aim is to offer a better organized and functional form of consultation and cooperation between local authorities and citizens, on issues concerning the development of our common urban environment. Participation in the decision-making process requires awareness, accessibility, transparency, accountability and much more, but above all it requires activity and commitment from both sides - local authorities as well as citizens.

Now it's your turn. Take part in the drafting of the final version of the citizen participation mechanism, which will be prsented to the municipality of Sofia. Through the platform Our voice you can get familiar with the draft text and its key points. On "Our Voice" you can also express support, comment and make suggestions for its improvement.
