BCNL was partner of the initiative Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016. The event was held in Gabrovo in the first days of October. Mrs. Nadya Shabani, Director of the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law was one of the mentors in the challenges.
Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016 was an initiative of the President of Bulgaria - Rosen Plevneliev and the President of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union - Markku Markkula. The event was organized with the support of the Regional Information Center in Gabrovo, as well as the MEP Eva Paunova and Andrew Novakov.
The forum aimed to manifest the talent and imagination of active and engaged people, who together seeked innovative solutions to important challenges of modern society.
Participants worked together from September 30 to October 2, 2016, guided by professionals in the role of mentors. The teams looked for innovative solutions in three main challenges:

XXI CENTURY DEMOCRACY
The camp was for everyone over the age of 17, motivated to develop their creative ideas into innovative social solutions. The camp was held on the territory of the National Aprilov High School and ended with a presentation of the developed ideas.
The idea to organize a camp for innovation in Gabrovo with the support of the Committee of the Regions and the Presidency was set in April and was supported and organized by the mayor of Gabrovo – Tanya Hristova.
